My Baja trip 1999

The Plan


    I plan on crossing the border in the first week of March at Tijuana.
 And I'll be heading south as fast as possible. I wont miss much. So 
besides a fish taco in Ensenada, I will be far to the south at Santo 
Tomas or beyond on the first day. 
    
    So what am I really going to do ? Well, picture a beautiful sunny day 
on the beach at Bajia de Los Angeles. The crystal clear waters invite me
for a swim. Then assuming my kayak is loaded and ready to go, I shove off
and paddle out onto the bay.


    Alert!  Alert!  Giant squid sighted, 2 o'clock!  (oh shit!)  (Paddling
fast...)  Whew that was close!  

SO I was all set  ready to leave . The car was packed . I tried to start 
the blue bomber and it just sputtered and shuddered !!!! ARGGGGG!!!!! So 
after unpacking (!!!!!) I had the car towed to the shop and had to wait 
two days and paid 550 $$ to get a new computer put in it . Yuck !!! oh well
better than 50 miles down a dirt road in Baja. 

Sailing with Rocket in San Diego was fun. Its dangerous out there though.
With all the battleships and Aircraft carriers to stay out of the way of.
I was sea sick most of the time. 

So its the 15 th and I'm headin to Baja this week.  Yeah !!!!!!!!  Yeah !!
